Michael Clayton - Director of CGA; Web Design and Interactive Media
MFA, Utah State University

While in high school, Michael Clayton wanted to be a Printmaker. In his second year of college he was introduced the computer and that quickly changed. He finished his BFA at Utah State University and continued on to get his MFA as well. Before becoming an educator, Michael worked locally in Utah developing multimedia presentations, CD/DVD interface design, and website creation and development. In 2000, Michael received a Silver Telly and two Aegis Awards for his work on the SubInstructor an interactive CD-Rom developed to instruct future substitute teachers in elementary education. He has also worked as a freelance graphic designer. Some of his clients include: Utah State University, Key Pro, YellowBlimp.com, and the San Antonio Zoo. He was a co-author for the textbook Visual Design Fundamentals: A Digital Approach (Second Edition; Charles River Media).

Adam Watkins - 3D Animation
MFA, Utah State University

Adam Watkins began his career with a BFA in Theatre Set and Lighting Design. After seeing the power of animation in communicating his scenic designs, he threw himself into the art of animation. As time went on, he became more interested in the animation process than actually constructing the sets. This led to his MFA in Animation from Utah State University. Watkins is among the most published active authors of 3D animation books and magazine articles with over 5 books and nearly 100 articles to his name. You can read his work monthly in such international magazines as 3D World and Digital Creative Arts. Watkins was the Director of the CGA program from 2000-2007.

Denny Fagan - Print, Packaging and Envirnomental Graphics

Denny Fagan received a BA and MFA from the University of North Texas and an MFA in Communication Design from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has worked with a variety of advertising, graphic design and exhibit design firms doing corporate identity and collateral, packaging, publication design and exhibit design for clients including Titleist Golf, Doubletree Hotels, The Contemporary Art Center in Cincinnati, the National Parks Service, Henry Ford Museum and The Center for Disease Control. Her work has been selected for publication in a variety of graphic design books and journals including: Design Ideas, Print Regional Design Annual, Design 2K, BulletProof Logos 2000, The New Big Book of Logos, Bar and Restaurant Logos. She also exhibits in national juried art exhibits.

Bob Johnson - Print, Packaging and Branding

Bob Johnson brings over 35 years experience in graphic design and advertising in addition to his years of teaching. His two degrees are from University of North Texas and Art Center College of Design. His experience includes LPK and LAGA, both in Cincinnati, working in the U.S. and Europe on clients such as Procter and Gamble, Heinz, IBM, AT&T, Church & Dwight, Bordens and Ortho. In between time in Cincinnati he served as creative director for Davison Design in San Francisco. The company specialized in the software industry with clients such EA, Creative Wonders, Maxis, The Learning Company, Starfish, Shaklee, Software and Broderbund. For over 6 years, he managed his own design/advertising company in Dallas, Texas. Over his career Bob has taught design at several institutions including San Francisco Art Institute, Art Center College of Design, Miami University/Ohio, Dallas Art Institute, Northern Kentucky University and University of North Texas. He has won numerous awards in the industry including CA Magazine, Print and Studio Arts in Canada. His passion for education has led him to speak at AIGA student associations and serve as co-director of AIGA Student Portfolio reviews in the Tri-State Ohio. His background also includes design of several books on photography and limited-edition letterpress books.

Cameron Brooks teaches the Intro to Computer Graphics, Digital Imaging, and Web III courses. He currently operates his own design studio, Backyard Studios.
